MLA format for Internet sources is a result of the technological advancement of our world. Gone are the days when only books, periodicals, and journals are an authority in the academic world. In many cases, they are still considered non-academic, but, due to the Internet craze, even journals, newspapers, and books have gone electronic. This technological advancement and electronic transformation of authoritative, academic sources has led to change in MLA formatting. Now, even electronic sources have their own standard look in each of the various formats in existence. MLA is one of the introductory formats to academic research.

If a person cites something from an email, he or she must note the person who sent the email, the title of the email (including whether or not the email was a reply to a former one), Email sent to (the email recipient), as well as the sending date. Online posts work like web pages: they require the date the post was created as well as the date the individual accesses the post. While the Internet has increased accessibility to authoritative sources, it has also complicated the matter. The trend currently is PDF and this is why. Ebooks written and compiled in the EXE format didnt work after Microsoft introduced Service Pack II. This requires a patch to open the file for your customer. What a pain. It makes your end products value perceived as less than adequate if you must include a patch along with your Informational Product.
Secondly, most of the EXE compilers are just so hard to use that writers simply resort to the PDF format to deliver their end product. Writers are concerned with getting their message out, as fast as possible and with ease thus the PDF format becomes the standard to deliver Informational Products.
Customers prefer PDF over EXE almost 75% of the time and there is a reason for this. When given a choice, they trust the PDF format over EXE because of the SP2 issue. When the information they paid for or obtained free didnt open or could not be viewed that format just isnt something they will willingly download again. Would you if the format didnt work? You would look for the Information Product that did work so you can have the information you wanted.
Which format works best depends upon what material you are presenting. If you write and add a few graphics or photos PDF may work best. If you are showing and telling your may choose the EXE format. Offering both formats most likely is the best way to satisfy your customers needs. Dont rule out the EXE format so quickly. There are many aspects of your delivery that are more suited for this format than can be delivered with the PDF. Today most of the programs offering your Informational Product in the EXE format have updated to get around the SP2 problem. It now is a perceived issue with your customer easily explained. Tell them it is in the EXE format and that they will be viewing the information without the problems of the past. You can include the why you are delivering your message in this format by simply telling them you will be showing them and telling them in ways PDF cant.
Ideally an Internet Author writes words just like anyone who writes a book. Your words are all that is necessary to convey your message. Is this what people online are looking for? Or could they get the same information at their local bookstore? In order to have your writing purchased you need to have a format that will over-deliver to your customer in a way that will not only satisfy them, but also WOW them. Recall that instant satisfaction is what people are looking for online. Can you provide them with instant satisfaction and still get your message across?
Delivering your message either as a free download or to be purchased is of great importance. Delivering it in the right format is also of great importance to your reader. If you were writing about golf and describing how to be a better putter, would just words be enough? Not hardly. You would want to include photos showing your reader exactly how to putt. It would even be better if you could show them a video, so your delivery method can get your point across even better. The old expression A picture is worth a thousand words comes to mind. Maybe a video is worth ten thousands. Deciding which format, PDF or EXE, would best produce your message then becomes very important to show them.
Perhaps this is why so many Informational Products on CDs and DVDs are coming out. These are the big ticket items that show and tell along with the written word. They are all interactive and all contained. Nothing has to be linked to a web site or use other resources online. A simple click of the mouse and watch the video and right back to the text. The reader doesnt have to wait for the connection to a web site or wait for the file to load and run. Its done instantly.
Most Internet authors do not have the means to produce CDs or DVDs. It requires a staff or the expertise to develop these Informational Products let alone the funds. Secondly they cannot be digitally delivered, which is a requirement for those people who want their information instantly.
Your informational material then dictates the delivery means. Use PDF when you are writing just words with a few pictures or graphics. Use EXE when you need to show and tell to get your message across to your customer. If and when it is possible, give your customer the choice of either.
In either case, writers want and need a program that is easy to use. This is why PDF has taken off in the last few years. There are many low cost programs that convert word processing files into PDF files. There are many programs or add-ons that help in putting video and audio into PDF files as well. This means there is a two-step process to producing your Informational Product, you write it adding the features you deem necessary to get your message across, and you convert it to a PDF format.
The EXE normally takes more steps to complete the final product. You write it, you convert it to HTML format, and you compile it with your program of choice. The hardest part is the conversion from HTML to the compiled format. For many it is just too much work and the learning process can take longer than the writing. It is easy to understand why the PDF becomes the favorite for the Informational Producer.
Doing your writing in both formats to give your customer their choice isnt easy either. It is double the work. Too bad there isnt a way to do both at the same time, or is there? That was one of the comments on the thread in the Warriors Forum that was repeated. Given the knowledge that PDF is chosen 75% of the time because of the perceived value, mostly due to the SP2 issue, the buyers choice is obvious. Or is it? Is it a choice of the producer? In most cases it is the producer, author, writer that make the choice of the format they use to offer their Informational Product. Face it, when it is easy to use PDF over EXE, what choice would you make?
Can you give them both? Can you offer them your material in EXE form that will give them more value than what you can give them in PDF form or the same value in either form? Yes you can deliver your Informational Products today in either format and have both a multimedia experience for your customers.
Embedding files in audio and video can be done in either format. This feature is soon to be taken away after Microsoft lost yet another court battle. The embedding feature is part of the browser in IE. That feature will no longer be available to unlock your files to automatically run. Maybe you didnt know about this little problem that can result in the failure of every ebook produced prior to 2005, being disabled just like what happened with the SP2 issue, only far worse. Even Web pages will not function properly unless they are changed from auto to having the viewer actually click on the audio or video to have it open. Do a search for microsoft+lawsuit+flash+embedded in your favorite search engine and see if this will affect you.
It all gets back to what format sells the best or what the Informational Producer believes will sell the best even if it is a give away viral product. Is there is a way to give your readers both options at the click of a button? Images saved in the 89a GIF format can be saved as interlaced. This will enable your image to display as it is being loaded into a web page. The image will gradually become clearer as the page loads.
Images saved in the 89a GIF format can be used to create animated images. Animated images are simply several GIF images compiled into one GIF image file that loops. In order to create an animated image, youll need a special editing program.
Joint Photographic Expert Group, better known as JPEG, is the best format for photographs. JPEG images can contain millions of colors and allow you to specify the degree of compression.

When working with images in Paint Shop Pro, you will have the ability to save your image in PSP format. This format will enable you to begin working on an image, save it in PSP format and finish the image at a later time. It will preserve all of your work without any changes.
If you would like to edit an image that has been previously saved in the GIF format, you must first increase the images colors to 16 million. If you dont, your colors will be limited. Go to Colors Increase Color Depth- 16 million colors (24 bit) to increase your images colors.
If youd like to resize an image in JPEG format, you can do so in one of two ways through your graphics program or within your HTML. You can resize your image within your HTML by changing the HEIGHT and WIDTH values. To retain your images original characteristics, make sure you adjust the height and the width equally. In other words, if your original image dimensions are 50100 (width 50 and height 100), to reduce your image to one half the size, change the width to 25 and the height to 50.
If youd like to resize an image in JPEG or GIF format, go to Image Resize and select Percentage of original. Type in your selection in the first box and click on OK. Theres no need to fill in the second box, as it will be filled in automatically. For example. If you would like to reduce your image to half the size it is now, type in 50. This number is telling the program that youd like to reduce the images size by 50%.
If you would like to increase your images size, type in a number over 100. Your original image is considered to be 100%. If you would like to increase your images size by 50%, type 150 in the first box.
If youd like to rotate an image, go to Image Rotate and select your preferences.
When rotating an image, it may lose some of its clarity (become blurry). You can correct this problem by sharpening your image. Go to Effects Sharpen Sharpen. If after sharpening your image it still appears a little blurry, simply sharpen it again.
Working With Text
If you would like to use text within your image, your first step will be to select your text color. The Styles boxes are located on the right hand side of your screen. The top box should be set to Null (off) and the bottom box should be set to Solid, which will look like a paintbrush. To change the style of each box, click on the black arrow and make your selection.
To change the text color, click in the center of the bottom box and select your preferred color. Your text will be displayed in the color within the bottom box.
If you would like to outline your text in a different color, click on the black arrow of the top box and select the paintbrush. Your text will be displayed in the color your bottom box contains and outlined in the color your top box contains.
Once youve selected your text color, click on the text tool on the left-hand side of your screen. This will launch your text window. Select your font and text size from the drop down menu and type in your text. Make sure you select Antialias and Floating then click OK.
Antialias will smooth out all of the rough edges of your text and blend it in with your background color. You will use the Antialias setting with various graphic tools when designing your graphics, so it is important to remember its function.
You will now see your text with, what looks like, marching ants around it. If youd like to move your text, click and hold your left mouse button directly over your text to drag it to your desired position. Try to center it as well as possible, but dont deselect it.
If you would like to rotate your text, now is the time to do it. Simply follow the same instructions (above) used to rotate an image.
If you make a change to your image and youre not satisfied with the outcome, you can undo your last change by going to Edit Undo. It will only undo the last thing you did.
Adding a Drop Shadow
Your next step will be to add a drop shadow effect. With your text still selected, go to Effects 3D Effects Drop Shadow. Your selected text will be displayed in the window. Try different settings until you achieve the effect youd like. Click on OK. When youre satisfied with your text, right click on your mouse to set it.

IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ELSE.
Flash video, which is given the file extension .flv is perhaps the most common format on the web today. Youll see the .FLV file extension on videos encoded by Adobe Flash software to play on Adobe Flash Player. Virtually everyone has these since theyre free downloads. Flash delivers more video over the Internet than any other file format.
Flash was originally a Macromedia product but is now Adobe.
Notable users of the Flash Video format include YouTube, Google Video, Reuters.com, Yahoo! Video, and MySpace. Many television news operations are also using Flash Video on their websites.
FLV is probably the single most common format on the internet. .FLV gives one of the smallest file sizes after compression.
Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems, via the widely available Adobe Flash Player and web browser plug-in. Flash video also plays on several third-party programs such as MPlayer, VLC media player, Quicktime, or any player which uses DirectShow filters such as Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, and Windows Media Center. .GVI is the file extension for Google Video File, a video format developed by Google and used as their proprietary video format.
Developed to solve compatibility issues, Google Video Player was another way to view Google videos and it runs smoothly on both Windows and Mac OS X. The Google Video Player rendered files in Googles own Google Video File (.gvi) media format and supported playlists in Google Video Pointer (.gvp) format. (More on that confusing duo in a second)
Why two Google video formats? Size. When users downloaded to their computers, the resulting file used to be a small .gvp pointer file rather than the full sized .gvi video file. Much like a link, the pointer file, when run, would point to and then download the actually video file to the users default directory. Seems like the long way around, but what do I know?
As of August 17, 2007, Google Video Player has been discontinued and is no longer available for download from Google Video website. I dont miss it. The option to download videos in GVI format has also been removed, the only download option remaining for iPod/PSP (MP4 format). Guess it all just got too confusing for words.
FROM THE NEW BACK TO THE OLD
Graphics Interchange Format with the file extension .GIF is one of the original digital still formats. It dates back to the pre-historic days of CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the web due to wide support and portability.
The biggest drawback if GIF was poor color reproduction. Many people thought it wasnt adequate for reproducing photographs when brilliant and accurate color was important. Its better suited for more simple images such as graphics or logos with solid areas of color.
GIF is for still images only and can not handle moving video files.
Tagged Image File Format (abbreviated TIFF) is a container format for storing images, including photographs and line art. It is now under the ownership of Adobe. Originally created by the company Aldus for use with what was then called desktop publishing, TIFF is a popular format for color and black and white images. The TIFF format is widely supported by image-manipulation applications, by publishing and page layout applications, by scanning, faxing, word processing, optical character recognition and other applications.
Adobe Systems, which acquired Aldus, now holds the copyright to the TIFF specification. TIFF has not had a major update since 1992, though several Aldus/Adobe technical notes have been published with minor extensions to the format.

The wonderful world of digital video is drowning in a sea of alphabet soup. Do you get frustrated not knowing an .avi from an .flv?
To help you master the world of Internet and digital video, I have compiled a series of articles giving you a comprehensive, yet easy to understand list of all the different digital video file formats. This special series of user-friendly guides includes definitions of all the technical jargon you need to understand digital and Internet video.
WHY SO MANY?
If you want to know why there are so many confusing formats, blame the fact that everybody feels the need to have their own. Each development or manufacturing company, each standardizing organization, and every combination hereof, all have to come up with their own proprietary software codes and methods.
On one hand, that gives you lots of choices. On the other hand, it makes things confusing and sometimes prevents stuff from just WORKING!
Fortunately, much of this stuff actually works together. There are lots of friendly alliances and most folks work with a goal of compatibility and universal platforms in mind. The geeks really are trying to make it easy on us folks!
Another thing that helps it all work without you needing to become a geek yourself is the fact that most computers today are loaded with multiple media player software, so just about any format will play if you click somewhere.
You often dont really NEED to know exactly what youre doingtrial and error gets you to the right place relatively quickly. But if youre like me, I want to know whats going on so I dont waste any time.
Another word of caution about freaking out over file formats.although the technicians love to argue about specifics, most of these file formats, especially real video, quick time and windows media files are all similar in size and quality when they are looked at by humans. Some people swear one or the other is better, but their eye sight must be better than mine. The differences are small.
Also keep in mind that not all formats are suitable for Internet Video, where file sizes need to be small. New HD formats are great for home entertainment, but are way too big for the web.

Lets start with the letter A:
AVCHD: Stands for Advanced Video Codec High Definition. This is a high end consumer home electronics format developed by Sony and Panasonic for HD home theater systems. Its not a web format.
AVCHD is in its infancy as a format and will someday be much more common. Since its new, compatibility is still an issue. Video editing software applications are slowly adding this format to their repertoire.
AVCHD uses MPEG-4 H.264 encoding which is standard for many video formats. Blu-ray players will eventually play this format too and it will become a standard in home theater systems.
.AVI This is a format for motion picture files developed by Microsoft that conforms to standards set by Microsoft Windows Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF). .AVI stands for Audio Video Interleaved and works with applications that capture, edit and playback audio and video, like Windows Movie Maker. Because it is windows-based, .avi format is virtually universal. AVI contains multiple streams of different type data, including a control track and separate video and audio streams.
As with all Microsoft products, this format is extremely common. .AVI is known for good video quality and commonality. AVI creates relatively large compressed files that retain high quality.
DivX: A popular video compression software known for being able to squeeze an entire movie onto one CD. DivX has the reputation of being powerful and stable, providing excellent quality and high compression. This software has been developed jointly by the DivX Networks and the open source community, which many people feel is the best method of software development. Lots of brains with one goal. The hot new thing in DVD players is that some now play DivX files in addition to MPEG-2 files.

Another popular feature about DivX is the open platform. Anyone can design plug-ins for DivX Connected using its open source SDK. It uses the Gecko rendering engine; the framework behind Firefox.

While still of major importance, the majority of queries are no longer about functional versus chronological resume styles, whether to keep or remove experience from twenty-five years ago, or whether to include dates of education. With the advent and subsequent explosive increase in the use of the Internet during the job search, questions have turned overwhelmingly to issues of electronic resume creation and transmission.

No wonder there is so much confusion! In just a few short years, there has been a complete revolution in the tools and techniques of job hunting. As applicant tracking technologies have come into common use among headhunter firms, large corporations, and even mid-size and small businesses, recommended resume formats and methods of transmission have rapidly evolved with the advancing technologies. Further complicating things, have been the increasing availability of personal web space for online resume portfolios and biographies.
What does this mean for todays job hunter? While the Internet has opened unprecedented doors of opportunity in the job search process, for those who have not taken the time to learn and apply the rules it can mean disaster!
While few job hunters have time to spend months studying the most recent technologies and recommendations for the creation of electronic resumes, before venturing onto the Internet with your resume it is critical that you take the time to learn and understand a few simple concepts. Knowing your audience and the formats most acceptable by those audiences are essential pieces of knowledge for the Internet job hunter.
The human reader The traditional, printed, hard copy resume (yes, it does still have a primary place in job hunting!) is created to attract the human eye and attention. With the advantages of word processing applications, sophisticated formatting is possible and should be applied strategically to create eye-appeal and draw the readers attention to key qualifications.
The computer reader The electronic or computer-optimized resume is designed, first and foremost, to be readable by the computer. There are several types of electronic resumes, but the common element of all is the ability to be searched by keyword. Of course, once your resume has been tagged as matching a keyword search, it will be reviewed by a human. So compelling, easy-to-read content is just as important in the electronic resume as in the traditional resume.
Miss these points and the effects could be devastatingyou might send out hundreds of resumes only to sit at home and wonder why nobody, not even one company or headhunter, has called you for an interview. There are fundamental formatting differences between traditional and electronic resumes. If you do not understand these differences, your resume will make it into very few if any resume databases.
What are the differences between keyword, scannable, web, traditional, and text resumes?
Traditional resumes are designed, as already noted, to compel the human reader, through persuasive language and design, to take further action and call you for an interview. Layout and page design are critical and should be planned strategically to draw the eye to areas of emphasis. The most effective traditional resumes are focused on achievements and written in powerful, active language that captures and holds the attention of the reader.
Scannable resumes also a printed, hardcopy format are designed primarily for accurate scanning into a computer. Captured as an image, scannable resumes are fed through OCR (optical character recognition) software that reads and extracts the text. The extracted text is databased for storage and later recalled by keyword from an applicant tracking system. Scannable resumes are very rarely requested any more. If you are asked for a scannable resume, the most efficient option is to email the requestor your plain ASCII text resume (described next).
Text resumes (also referred to as ASCII resumes) are just what the name implies, an ASCII-formatted version of either your traditional or scannable resume. Text resumes are universally readable on all computer systems and platforms and are the preferred format when you are emailing your resume. An ASCII resume received in email can be entered directly into an applicant tracking system without the added step of needing to scan it. Entry into the system is fast, easy, and accurate and so many employers and recruiters prefer this format.
The phrase keyword resume, as it was first used, referred most often to either a scannable or text resume that incorporated a focus on nouns and phrases that employers were likely to use when searching for an applicant. Sometimes the keyword resume had a section at the beginning or end that listed the keywords separated by commas or periods. Today, there is no need to maintain both a keyword and a non-keyword resume. Keywords have become such an essential element in resumes that you should ensure that every version of your resume, whether meant for the human or the computer reader, incorporates the keywords most important in your field or industry.
Still confused? My recommendation is to simply maintain two separate versions of your resume:
Traditional resume If you wish to send a hardcopy, paper version of your resume you should send your traditional resume. Traditional resumes are most often stored on your computer as a computer file and printed on an as-needed basis. For example, you will want to print at least several copies of your resume to carry with you and hand out at interviews. You may also be asked to send your traditional resume via email to a recruiter or employer. In these cases, you should have your traditional resume saved in the two most commonly asked for file formats: MS Word and Adobe PDF. You can then attach the requested file or files to an email message and send it to the requestor to be printed on the receiving end.
By far, youll find that the most requested format for your traditional resume is MS Word. If you comply with the request, be aware that your formatting may be incompatible with the recipients system. While usually still readable, fonts and bullet sizes and styles may be different from what you intended. These problems can be minimized, although not always eliminated, by embedding the fonts into the document. This is a simple process, and the MS Word help files will guide you through it. You should also take care, while writing and designing your resume, to use design elements that are default and standard on most systems. For example, it is not wise to use a fancy, custom font on your resume that you know will be emailed. Default fonts such as Garamond, Helvetica, Book Antiqua, or Verdana are better choices.
To eliminate issues with compatibility, if the recipient has the free Adobe Reader installed, Adobe PDF is the best format in which to send your traditional resume. The PDF version of your resume will appear on the recipients system precisely the way it appeared on your system. For this reason, if given the choice of sending an MS Word file and Adobe PDF file, always opt for Adobe PDF. However, many recruiters and employers still prefer the MS Word file format, because this is the format they are most familiar with.
ASCII text resume If you conduct any portion of your job search on the Internet, ASCII-formatted resumes are critically important tools. Always have an up-to-date ASCII text version of your resume on your computer. This is the fastest way to contact potential employers and to apply for jobs advertised online. You must also have a text version of your resume if you wish to post in online resume databanks.
As previously noted, employers rarely request scannable resumes anymore. If they utilize an applicant tracking system, they will likely request that your resume be e-mailed, either as ASCII text or as an attachment. E-mail allows the recipient to enter your resume directly into the database, eliminating the extra steps of scanning and OCR.
How do you use these file formats and transit them to recipients via email? My recommendation is to actually attach the MS Word or Adobe PDF file to the email in its native file format. Then, ALSO copy and paste the text of your ASCII text resume into the body of your email (where you would normally type a message), along with a letter of introduction or other note explaining why you are sending the resume.
A final type of electronic resume is the web resume, also known as the online resume. Created using HTML, your web resume may be uploaded to space provided by a web-hosting provider. Eliminating the compatibility problems associated with word-processed resumes sent as e-mail attachments, web resumes offer the advantage of maintaining layout and design on the systems of anyone with a web browser. Available for viewing around the clock, conveying a technology-savvy image, and allowing the ability to add supporting content to your resume (effectively creating an online portfolio promoting your qualifications), web resumes are becoming a progressively important tool in the job search. The creation of a web resume or resume portfolio is far beyond the scope of this article, but if web resumes are an electronic format that interest you, be aware that many service providers have begun offering web resume design and hosting at affordable prices.
Preparing Internet Resumes
What do I need to know about writing keyword resumes?
Remember it is absolutely essential that you create resume content that is keyword rich regardless of the file format. It is not necessary that you maintain a separate keyword version of your resume. ALL resumes must include a heavy emphasis on keywords. Keywords are generally defined as nouns or phrases that an employer will use when searching for an applicant with your skill set. To maximize the recall of your resume in a search, you will want to use as many keywords in your resume as possible.
1. Keywords should focus on technical and professional areas of expertise, industry-related jargon, and your work history. Also, include the names of associations and organizations of which you are a member.
2. Whenever possible, use synonyms of keywords in different parts of your resume and if you use initials for a term in one section, spell the term out in another.
3. Always be specific. For example, while it may be fine to include the phrase computer literate, you will also want to list the specific software that you are proficient in using.
This is one of the most common areas of confusion, so Ill state it once againthe content of a keyword resume does not need to differ from the content of your traditional resume. With careful attention to rhythm and flow, it is possible to prepare a resume that is keyword optimized, but that also includes the powerful, compelling, active language of a traditional resume. Not only will this simplify your resume preparation, but it will ensure that the content of all versions of your resume will be optimized for both the computer and the human reader. Furthermore, if you incorporate a professional summary and bulleted list of qualifications in the text of your resume, there is little if any need to prepare a separate keyword summary.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to recommend a specific list of the best keywords to use in your resume, as the best keywords are different for every individual and depend mainly on your unique career objective and background. What is certain, however, is that a well-prepared keyword resume is so critical to your success in a job market that largely relies on electronic applicant tracking systems, if you have any doubts at all you should consult with a professional resume writer.
How do I prepare an ASCII text version of my resume?
Preparing the all-important ASCII text version of your resume is not difficult, but it does require a learning curve. Once converted to ASCII format, you will be able to email your resume in response to an ad or paste it directly into web-based forms and submit it to Internet resume databanks. The specific directions will vary depending on the software you have installed on your computer. But, in general, to prepare your ASCII resumes properly, follow these simple steps:
1. Using your word processing program, open your word-processed resume and use the Save As function to save a copy as a Text Only or ASCII (DOS) document. Title your document with an easily distinguishable name; perhaps resume_internet.txt
2. Close your word processing program and re-open the ASCII file. You will not be able to see your changes until you have done this. Note that it has been stripped of virtually all original formatting.
3. Go through your new ASCII document line-by-line. Align all text flush to the left-hand margin.
4. Remove all centering, right hand margin, and justification alignments.
5. Although you should no longer see them, if visible, remove all graphics, artwork, and special character formatting.
6. Remove all tab characters.
7. Remove all columns.
8. Replace bullets with a simple ASCII asterisk (*).
9. Carefully check the spelling and the accuracy of your data.
10. If you wish, use ASCII characters to enhance the appearance of your resume. Asterisks, plus signs, or other keyboard characters can be used to create visual lines that separate sections of your resume and make it easier to read.
The above steps convert your resume to ASCII without line breaks. When pasted into a web-based form or email message, your resume will automatically wrap to the size of the window.
Your new ASCII resume will be universally readable, no matter what computer system the recipient uses. It will also be easy to manipulate for entry into applicant tracking databases, eliminating the inherent difficulties of scanning and converting your paper resume with OCR systems.
There is no denying that the Internet has caused what was once a straightforward process to become complex and confusing to many job hunters. Yet, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Like never before, as a job seeker you have immediate access to announcements and advertisements of openings around the globe. You have the ability to conduct detailed research on companies of interest. And you have unprecedented opportunity to cost effectively promote your qualifications to hundreds or even thousands of hiring authorities of just a tiny fraction of the cost of doing so through traditional methods. While the new skills you must learn may seem daunting at first, by understanding the concepts and creating your electronic resumes, you are well on your way to an efficient, effective Internet job search.
